Theatre and Television Experience

Since training at East 15 Acting School, I have worked in a number of regional repertory theatres including Theatre by the Lake, Keswick, Worcester Swan and Coventry Belgrade. My favourite productions include The Merchant of Venice, Once A Catholic, Charley’s Aunt,  Alice in Wonderland and A Christmas Carol. I have also toured the country with Millstream Theatre’s production of Blue Remembered Hills, and several shows with The Young National Trust Theatre. A lot of my work involves music - I’m a grade 8 clarinetist, a strong singer, and am learning to play the piano.

My television experience includes Coronation Street, Eastenders, Waterloo Road, Casualty and Doctors. You can often hear my voice in the documentary series This World for the BBC.

Current Schools Projects

As well as working with schools to develop bespoke projects, I also offer a number of 'off-the-shelf' shows, projects and interactive workshops that support and enhance the curriculum.

The Old Woman Who Lived in a Vinegar Bottle - a 20-minute story performance, based on the traditional tale of a sour old lady and a fabulous fish (Key Stage 1)

Leather & Liquorice - a 30-minute  performance about a lost old man rescued by his granddaughter's love. (Key Stage 2)

Pantastic! - a 30 minute perfomance with music and mayhem from the woman who scrubs the knickers of all your favourite story characters.  (Reception to Year 2)

The Story Of The Dancing Frog - a 20 minute storytelling perfomance followed by a workshop. Quentin Blake's story is brought to life with the help of a sewing basket, a gramophone and a knitted amphibian. (Reception to Year 3)

Endless Rhythm - a 30-minute movement workshop based on the abstract painting by Robert Delaunay. Perfect for Art Week! (Nursery to Year 2)

20 years of working with young people

My first professional job was with the Young National Trust Theatre, performing role–playing dramas with children using historic houses as our sets. This began a passion for working with young people.

Over the last 20 years, I have devised, written and directed projects for children of all ages. I 've worked with The Orange Tree Theatre, Harrogate Theatre TIE, Worcester Swan Theatre, MTProductions, Scene & Heard, as well as creating and running many freelance projects. I have worked in schools, youth clubs, village halls and historic buildings.

Qualified to deliver Discover, Explore, Bronze and Silver Arts Awards. Holder of current Disclosures and Barring Service Certificate (Enhanced).
